Wash It
“A rough block, planted in the middle of an industrial site, suddenly decides it wants to moonlight as a washing machine. Spinning cycles in a place that hasn’t seen fresh laundry in decades. What might have been heavy and forgotten instead turns playful, a rocky reminder that even stones have their own stories to rinse, spin, and air-dry.”

About this Photo Art
ClaraXenia, photographer and co-founder of Intention, working out of Copenhagen. The full body of work sits on Photo Art.
Yes. Every piece of Photo Art begins as a photograph ClaraXenia took of something real, in the world. Light, shadow, reflections, movement, a moment most people walk past. It is not generated artwork.
The image comes first and the Word emerges from it, from what the photograph quietly reveals. The pairing is the piece. Neither half was made to illustrate the other.
Framed, it is Art on a Wall: master's edition 250 gsm matte paper, uncoated, in natural white, a museum-quality weight that reduces glare, behind shatterproof plexiglass rather than glass, so it travels safely. On apparel the photograph becomes part of the fabric on the front.
Yes, that is what a pairing is. The same photograph exists as Art on a Wall and carried on apparel, with the Word it belongs to. Everything framed, the photographs and the Words, sits together under Wall Art.
